Are herbs really essential to my diet?
Absolutely! Herbs have chemical compounds which have anti-spasmodic, carminative, diaphoretic, analgesic, aphrodisiac, deodorant, digestive, antiseptic, lipolytic (weight loss), stimulant and stomachic actions when taken with the right dosage. They contain anti-oxidants, essential oils, vitamins, phyto-sterols and many other nutrients as well. This helps the body fight germs and toxins while boosting immunity levels. Fennel in particular has a high Vitamin C level which helps the immune system, in addition to being rich in fiber which lowers cholesterol levels.

How can I use fennel?
The possibilities are endless! Fennel pairs well with every meat when used the right way. You can use it in combination with other spices in a dry rub or marinade, or use a bit more and let it take center stage as the spice of the dish. You can really do almost anything with it, which is why fennel is so great.
